These homemade waffles are light, fluffy, and perfect for slow mornings or quick breakfasts. They come together with simple pantry ingredients and can easily be customized with optional add ins like chocolate chips, berries, or cinnamon.
For this batch, I used a mini waffle maker with heart insert plates and added in chocolate chips.

Easy Tips
- Don’t overmix the batter. A few lumps are okay.
- Let the waffle maker fully heat before adding batter for crispier waffles.
- Add chocolate chips, berres, or other add ins after mixing the batter so they don’t sink.
- Freeze extra waffles and reheat in the toaster for quick breakfasts.
- A splash of vanilla gives homemade waffles a cozy bakery style flavor.
